Celebrate the Nation with Lego

This year, Singapore will be celebrating her 47th Birthday. As part of the celebration, up to 200,000 Lego bricks and minifigures will recreate a Mini Marina Bay Floating Platform replica on the National Day Parade (NDP).

For the price of SGD$5, you can be part of the Building a LovingSG charity. All proceeds will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. You can build a pair of customized Lego minifigures. One of the Lego minifigure will be placed on the seating gallery of the Marina Bay Floating platform and while the other one for you to keep for your participation.

On 22nd July 2012, Sunday, my aunt and I head down to Marina Square and participated in Building a LovingSG. It was crowded and many people queue-up to donate and build a pair of customized lego minifigures. We donated SGD$10 and made our lego minifigures and at the same time took some photographs of the Lego minifigures and the replica of Marina Bay Floating Platform which are displayed.

After customized our minifigures, we passed one of the minifigure to the volunteer and he put it at the seating gallery and glue it! I can't' wait to see the actual display during the National Day Parade on 9th August 2012!
