As part of the official opening of Gardens by the Bay, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Singapore (ANZ) are proud to present Rhythm with Nature outdoor concert feature Corrinne May on 30 June 2012.
I got the chance to attend Corrinne May concert, which was sponsored by Sony Singapore.I took part in Sony Singapore Photo contest 2 weeks ago via Sony Singapore Facebook Page and I won a consolation prize for a pair of tickets on her LIVE outdoor Concert from Woo Hoo Experience Pte Ltd.
I felt so excited as I could finally able to get close to watch Corrinne May concert!I like Corrinne May songs! Her songs somehow touches me and it makes me feel like angel is singing and make me feel so comfortable. Her song was also somehow related in our life.
Do you know that Corrinne May is actually Singapore's very own homegrown singer? She wrote her songs and she knew how to sing, play piano and even play guitar! She is now based in US.
Yesterday evening, Marina Bay Sands was crowded due to the opening of Gardens by the Bay (EXIT B from CE1/DT16 Bayfront MRT Station). The gardens was huge and very lovely! Edwin and I reached there around 1830 hours and we saw the Air force plane flying pass us as it was the rehearsal for Singapore 47th National Day Parade.
It was still early then, we decided to enter to the outdoor concert entrance at 'The Meadow' and got ourselves a drink from 'Somersby' which cost us SGD$10 each. After that, we went to grass patch to find a spot and lay down the plastic sheet which was given to us.
Soon, Corrinne May sang her first song which won all the crowds cheers and applause! Edwin and I was enjoyed myself with the nature surrounds us. Just then, there was fireworks from the nearby Marina Stadium. Corrinne May was so cute. She said, Oh! Fireworks!! All the crowds all started to laugh!
Everyone enjoyed listening to her songs while the fireworks continue to display. One of the audience shouted, The firework especially display for you! About 2100 hours, Corrinne May told us that she will be singing for the last song.
One of the audience requested her to sing Scars (which I always wanted to hear it as well). Then she says, Alamak I never prepare to sing. I was like little disappointed but I alright with it. In the end, she sang 'Song for Singapore'.
It was a great and enjoyable evening for all of us at The Meadow. Thank you ANZ, Sony Singapore and Woo Hoo Experience Pte Ltd for the kind tickets that given to me.
