It'd been a long time that I last visited to Singapore Zoo. This year, Singapore Zoo celebrates her 40th Birthday. I decided to revisit to Singapore Zoo again on Saturday.
I headed down to Ang Mo Kio Station and boarded SBS Transit Bus number #138 at AMK Hub Bus Interchange. It took 20 minutes bus journey to Singapore Zoo. It was crowded on that day. Although the queue was long but it went smoothly and fast. I purchased River Safari + Singapore Zoo + Zoo Tram.
River Safari is the newest attraction which was opened last year and they just had soft opening on 3rd April 2013 to the public. Although not all the attractions are open to the public as they are still in the process in setting up but about 80% of the attractions are ready!
The main attraction at the River Safari was a pair of Pandas (熊貓) which was lent by the People Republic of China for Ten (10) years. A pair of Pandas named Jia Jia (嘉嘉) and Kai Kai (凱凱).
The crew staffs are friendly and they warmly welcomed you. They also very patient to solve your inquiry. While walking to the River Safari, you will see many nature scenery around the park.
Soon, you will be reaching Air-condition enclosure where the Panda families are located. Please note that no flash photography is allowed!
The Pandas are so cute! Jia Jia (Female Panda) are more sporty where else Kai Kai (Male Panda) are more introverted. I saw Jia Jia running up and down and keep on munching. Kai Kai was sleeping at that time.
After visiting to the Panda families showcase, you can visit to the cafe and try the limited signature Panda Pau (Red Bean filling)!
You can also head down to the gift shop to bring home those cute animal toys!
